Glassjaw's Daryl Palumbo formed this Post-Punk/New Wave side project in 2011. This, their first release, focuses heavily on the new wave of 80's pop, as well as the jagged & angular riffs synonymous with post-punk.
I may be biased as an avid Glassjaw & Head Automatica fan, but its the perfect style to demonstrate the timeless nature of this band. They wear their influences on their sleeve, but make the sound their own. The songs are catchy, but they also tempt you to have repeated listens and indulge in these inspiring layers of experimental pop & rock music.
After releasing this 7 inch in 2013, a debut album followed in 2017 on Epitaph. Its one of my favourite post-punk pop records of all time. Real talk!
Throughly recommended.
